SWEET ROLLS
Ingredients:
200g milk
150g sugar
150g butter
150g sugar
150g butter
2 tsp dry yeast
500g flour
1/2 tsp salt
Wet sugar
1 egg (beated)
500g flour
1/2 tsp salt
Wet sugar
1 egg (beated)
Preparation:
Melt the butter by microwaving it during 30 seconds.
Place all ingredients in the bread recipient in the following order: water, butter, milk, sugar, salt and flour.
With a finger, make a little “hole” in the flour and place the dry yeast on it. MAKE SURE the yeast DOES NOT come in contact with the liquid ingredients.
Place the bread recipient in the bread making machine and on the MENU, go to the “Kneading” feature. It will take approximately 1-1/2 for the “kneading” program to be done.
Take the dough and place it on a slightly floured surface and knead for a couple of minutes. Then, make the rolls; and using a sharp knife or a cutter, make a deep cut in the roll.
Place the rolls on a baking sheet (a few cms apart to give them room to grow) and let them stand there covered for 30 minutes. After this time, paint them with the egg (beated) and add the wet sugar to the top.
Bake for 15 minutes on a preheated oven at 200ºC.
