ANNOUNCING BREAD BAKING DAY #24
I love to participate in the events held in the Blogosphere; therefore I am very greatful to Zorra, of “1x umrühren bitte", our very creative founder, for giving me the opportunity to host this month’s Bread Baking Day. Zorra created the BBDs since back in July, 2007. These events are aimed at people who love to bake bread, are constantly baking bread and are continuously looking for new recipes to make magic come out of two of the most simplest things in earth: water and flour!!!
I invite you to visit BBD#23, hosted by "IMAFOODBLOG," and if you click here, I promise you will be flabbergasted by the Round-up.
During the 2-1/2 years these Bread events have been going on, we have had all sort of themes and recipes coming from anywhere in the five Continents. While thinking of this mixture and personal one as well (both my husband and daughter are Spaniards, my son is from the US and I am Cuban by birth, however, I bear those three nationalities) was that I decided to name BBD#24 “Mixed Breads,” wherein we will bake a bread utilizing two or more different types of flour. Then, in order to celebrate this great mixture, we will all sit at a very long table and each and everyone of us will bring a bread made of good mixtures, but above all, it will be a bread made with plenty of (TLC) Tender Loving Care…
Sweet breads are welcome!!! Someone will have to take care of dessert!!!!
There's also the WBD (World Bread Day), another Bread event, also created by Zorra. This event happens only once a year; and always on October 16th. On that day everyone posts an entry with a bread recipe. By clicking in 1, 2, 3 or 4 so you can amaze yourself with all entries that participated in this event. Or, just take it all at a glance here.
